Wine that lets you know summer has arrived:
Check out our notes here…
Lafage Bastide Miraflors – Dark Berries, Gentle Tannins, Chewy & Slightly Jammy
92 Points Wine Advocate “…a blend of 70% Syrah and 30% Grenache. Deep, medium to full-bodied, with amazing fruit, the purity, authenticity and Mediterranean upbringing of this wine are obvious. Quite deep, round and succulent, this wine should drink well for another several years. This is one to buy by the case.”
Panizzi Vernaccia – Stone Fruit and Orange Blossom. Very Light and Refreshing. Perfect for a hot summer day.
With the grapes coming from the 1989 vintage, Panizzi was born. This wine is in fact the modern interpretation of an ancient wine full of history. Made with grapes coming from all of the farm’s vineyards (Larniano, Montagnana, Santa Margherita, Lazzeretto), this wine is our most prompt and immediate Vernaccia di San Gimignano.
Lafage Miraflors Rose – Dry, Crisp, & Delicious. Youthful and Energizing. Notes of light summer fruit throughout.
92 points Jeb Dunnuck – “The 2017 Miraflors Rose is another beauty that’s loaded with fresh, crisp, vibrant strawberry and raspberry fruit. Clean, pure, textured and elegant on the palate, with gorgeous purity, it’s a rocking rose that does everything right. The blend is 70% Mourvedre and 30% Grenache Gris brought up all in tank.”
Mas Donis Montsant Rosat Spanish Rose – Summer fruit notes such as watermelon and strawberry with a crisp acidity. New to the shop but quickly becoming a favorite.
“A serious wine at an extremely friendly price. The Mas Donis Rosat is a saignée from tanks of Garnatxa and Syrah bled after a few days in the skins.” – The Winery
