The Owners here at Mora’s Fine Wines and Spirits would love to spend an afternoon trying new wines with you on Saturday August 31st from 3-6 pm at the Shop!
Here is the lineup!
Casasmith Vino Pinot Grigio:
Winemaker Notes
Fritsch Vom Zweigelt Austrian Rose:
“Light salmon pink. Red berry aromas, fresh apple fruit, orange zests, fine herbal notes, juicy, substantial and elegant. The tannins are very well integrated, lively acidity, refreshing fruit flavours on the aftertaste. Easy drinking style, a multi-layered food companion ” – The Winery
This biodynamic rosé of Zweigelt (one of Austria’s two main red grapes) has the kind of acidity that makes the wine seem juicier than usual–and it works magic with food pairings. A spicy pomegranate aroma leads to cherry-pomegranate flavors and medium body. Try it with grilled foods or hearty salads, but it’s great for sipping, too.
Vina Robles Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon:
This bottling exhibits the richness that’s made Paso Robles famous, yet at a price point that’s great for frequent indulgence. Inky in the glass, the bottling’s lush nose offers concentrated black cherry, caramel, cocoa and coffee. It’s soft and smooth on the palate, where the black-cherry compote flavors are lifted by star anise and clove.
Merkin Chupacabra RED:
Makers Notes
Chupacabra is our Shape Shifter Kitchen sink site Blend from the Buhl Memorial Vineyard, Willcox, in the Kansas Settlement of Cochise County, AZ. The blend changes slightly from year to year depending on where our Alchemistic inclinations lead us but is usually rooted in Grenache, Mourvédre, Syrah, and Petite Sirah. 4300 ft. elevation
Domaine De La Bergerie Cremant de Loire Brut:
Tasting Notes
A French sparkling wine that should be on everyone’s dinner table as it is a great complement to light meats and seafood dishes. Think of this sparkling wine as a wine to drink throughout your meal. It’s made from Chenin Blanc and comes from a family domaine that was started in 1964 in the heart of the Anjou region in the Coteaux du Layon.
McCall Merlot:
WINE ENTHUSIAST SCORE: 90 POINTS
Spicy bramble berry aromas take on a slight brandied character, bathed in anise and savory dried meat tones. The plush, silken palate boasts some additional savory streaks, with shots of cranberry acidity keeping the weight in check. Soft tannins offer just enough support to carry this wine to the lingering rich, cherry finish.
