Description
In 1978 Bruce Markham hired Bryan Del Bondio, a recent UC Davis viticulture graduate, as his General Manager. Bryan became president of the winery a decade later. He continues to hold that position today.
Bryan literally grew up in the wine business, learning from his father, Al, who worked as winery cellar master at Inglenook for 45 years. Bryan’s mother, Marie, also spent 40 years at Inglenook. Winemaking is a Del Bondio family tradition. His family has practiced the art of winemaking for three generations, since his grandparents emigrated from Italy to the lush winemaking region of Napa over 100 years ago.
Bryan has dedicated his life to creating something special at Markham. Taking the lessons he learned from his father, Bryan has committed himself to maintaining continuity amongst key staff members and creating a family atmosphere at Markham. Together, Bryan and his dedicated coworkers are committed to keeping the history of the winery alive – creating high quality wines that are always unpretentious in style.
