Joey Tensley 2017 Chardonnay California White Wine 750 mL

Wine Advocate 89 points – The value-priced 2017 Chardonnay from Joey Tensley offers up classic aromas of lemon curd, citrus zest, nutmeg and a light touch of oak. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, pure and crisp, with good concentration and a nice, racy finish. This tasty offering is fermented and matured in tank (where it sees some oak), with malolactic fermentation blocked. It’s nice to see such a good wine offered for such a modest tariff..April/2018

Jeb Dunnuck 91 points – From Santa Barbara and Monterey Counties, the 2017 Chardonnay gives up plenty of citrus, white peach, brioche, and charcoal notes to go with medium-bodied richness and a clean, elegant, beautifully pure style. I wasn’t able to get the release price, but I suspect it’s a smoking value..October/2018

This is a new value-priced label from Joey Tensley, best known for his Santa Barbara County Syrah bottlings from Tensley Wines. All these attractive offerings will be available for less than $20.
