Dartigalongue Armagnac 1981 French Brandy 750 mL

$199.99

Since the 19th century, the DARTIGALONGUE family has marketed vintage Armagnacs.
The Vintage corresponds to the year of the harvest. The youngest Vintages marketed by Maison DARTIGALONGUE have been aged for a minimum of 15 years in 400-litre oak barrels . After 40 to 50 years of aging in wood, they are then housed under glass, in carboys, in order to preserve their taste qualities and to stop the reduction in alcoholic degree. The oldest vintages are housed in the ” Paradise “,
Each Vintage is unique and has its own personality. Its characteristics change from year to year under the effect of aging and the “share of the angels”
(3 to 4% loss by evaporation each year in wood).
Bottling is done by hand very regularly, and the date of bottling is systematically indicated on the back label.
Maison DARTIGALONGUE currently offers for sale more than 60 Vintage Armagnacs from the 2000’s, 1990’s, 80’s, 70’s, etc… until the 19th century (list of Vintages available on request).

The oldest Vintage in the collection is the 1848 Vintage, the pride of the House because this unique Vintage in the appellation is held exclusively by the DARTIGALONGUE family.
