$24.99

Wine Enthusiast 90 points – With top consultant Stephane Derenoncourt behind this one, the wine is fine and ripe with just the right balance between tannin and rich blackberry fruit. There is a juicy character that shines through the youthful structure. The wine will age well.Roger Voss,

Vinous 89 points – The 2014 Lestruelle is bold, juicy and absolutely delicious. Savory herbs, crushed flowers and mint give the wine its distinctive aromatic profile. A bit less exuberant than it was from barrel, the Lestruelle nevertheless offers notable balance in an understated style that is quite appealing. Drink this tasty Cru Bourgeois over the next handful of years. The blend is 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. Antonio Galloni,

Description

Robert Parker 91 points – Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 Lestruelle offers red plum and crushed strawberry on the nose, slightly diffuse at first but gaining harmony with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy ripe red berry fruit, succulent in the mouth with lovely purity on the caressing finish, one that disguises the structure underneath. Don’t overlook this fine Médoc that is both approachable but will age with style. — Neal Martin (Tasted September 2017)

Vinous 88 points – The 2015 Lestruelle is a plump, juicy wine with lovely depth and resonance. Sweet red cherry, plum, tobacco and licorice add shades of nuance to this open-knit, attractive Medoc. Drink it over the next few years. The blend is 79% Merlot and 21% Cabernet Sauvignon.
