Chateau de la Greffiere is in the Maconnais, in La Roche Vineuse in southern Burgundy. Isabelle and Vincent Greuzard work 70 acres of vines planted to four different varietals across four separate villages. Winemaking has been undertaken here since 1585, and the vaulted cellar dating back to 1789 showcases the viticultural tradition of the estate. Isabelle and Vincent Greuzard are the third generation since 1924. This Macon is from a vineyard in Milly-Lamartine where the Chardonnay vines are roughly 25 years old; done entirely in stainless steel, it is rich yet minerally, with white fruits and nuances of menthol on the nose.
