About BOUCHARD PERE & FILS

Founded in 1731, Bouchard Père & Fils is one of Burgundy’s oldest wine merchants and one of the largest landowners in the Côte d’Or. Over the centuries, the House has acquired highly renowned parcels for a total of 321 acres with 30 acres classified as Grands Crus and 183 as Premiers Crus. In 1995, the Bouchard family passed the torch to the Henriot family, owner of one of the few historic Champagne houses, as well as the first family from Champagne to venture to Burgundy. Their extraordinary investment in Bouchard Père & Fils restored the Estates’ splendor and expanded the Domaine into the Côte de Nuits, as well as Domaine Ropiteau-Mignon in Meursault. These two acquisitions established the House as the largest landowner of Premier and Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte d’Or. At the heart of Bouchard Père & Fils’ winemaking philosophy is the commitment to showcasing the truest and finest expression of each terroir, while honoring the traditions and specificities of each vintage. With respect to the land, Bouchard Père & Fils has been committed to sustainable practices for nearly 15 years and was awarded the highest environmental certification in France, the “Haute Valeur Environnementale”, by the French Government in 2015. In 2020, the Henriot family applied for organic certification of the Bouchard Père & Fils estate in Côte-d’Or, as well as their William Fèvre estate in Chablis.
