Don’t tell anyone but this is not only from the Spring Mountain District but it is also a lot from
the Spring Mountain Winery itself!
One of the best producers in Ribera del Duero, Moro’s workhorse red delivers pure Tempranillo
goodness for a song. If you want something special check out his Maleolus series of amazing single vineyard wines.
Charles Smith does it again with his take on “other” European varieties. He puts his own spin on these wines
and often bests the more traditional renditions.
This is NOT an “orange wine”. It is a fresh vibrant wine made in Austria from a grape
that is not even recognized by the Austrian wine laws. There are probably only
2 places on Long Island that sell it or even know about it.
Classic Rioja at it’s best from the famous Euguren family winery
“Sierra Cantabria” is Spanish for the Cantabrian mountain range and on its foothills
we find the great range of wines produced by these guys.
