It’s a wild line up and they aren’t ALL French but the two coolest ones are
Chateau Mont redon Chateauneuf du Papes 2014 (Rhone, Red) This is a classic Rhone red, perfect for beef, lamb or pork from the grill. This shows great power and a lively silky texture with flavors of dark fruit and hints of minerality and spice. Great scores and raves from Josh Raynolds at Vinous Media too.
Initio Rose de Garde 2016 (Bordeaux, Pink) If it is possible to get tired of French rose in the summer (I don’t think so) then move beyond Provence to satisfy your lust for pink wines. All pink wine is NOT alike and if you move to roses from Bandol or even in this case Bordeaux expect fleshier deeper hued wines which are excllent with substantial appies and entrees. This one if a limited production from the vineyards of Leoville Barton a classified cru from the left bank made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and released with a little age on the bottle. Try this with chicken, fish or a big cheese and charcuterie board.
