"Our 2003 Napa Valley Syrah is reflective of meticulous vineyard care, a cool, slow vintage, and careful handling in the cellar. The wine displays a deep red color and exhibits aromas of blackberries, cherries and licorice. The fruit notes are further lifted by the inclusion of 2% Viognier. On the palate, this wine offers concentrated flavors of wild berry and sweet oak. Rich fruit and soft tannins give this Syrah a lingering, supple finish. The wine can be enjoyed immediately or will gain further complexity over the next 4 – 5 years with proper cellaring."
