"Pinot Noir put Mountain View on the map in 1986 when we introduced our Napa Carneros blend to rave reviews. This wine is a lovely medium weight Pinot Noir with layers of herbal notes and cherry, plums; cloves and modest oak. The pedigree of premium Carneros fruit is highlighted in
this eminently drinkable offering.

The Carneros region is situated at the southernmost portion of Napa and Sonoma counties. The close proximity to the San Francisco Bay insures that cooling afternoon and evening breezes will assist in maintaining ripe, complex flavors and firm acidity in the grapes. The precise soil types vary throughout the area, but are deep and well drained for maximum fruit quality. This came from five separate plantings equally split between the Napa and Sonoma sides of Carneros."
