"The initial attractions of this fruity, rounded and seemingly well-ripened effort are very much on point to Merlot expectations, yet the wine heads off in two opposing directions with a streak of stiffening back-end acidity contrasting its softer beginnings. Still, it counts ripeness, polished tannins and a good bit of direct cherryish fruit to its credit, and it is ready to go without need of additional age."
