"Thirty years ago Denis Velut’s grandfather Jean established this 7 hectare domaine in Montgueux in the Côte de Bars as a récoltant/manipulant. Montgueux stands out in the region because of its high concentration of calcaire soil where mostly Chardonnay is grown (about 85%). Pinot Noir is grown in the outcroppings of red clay soil.
