A little on the big, blocky side as Paso Robles Cabernets can be, this ripe and rich effort favors caramel and dried cherries by way of per-sonality. It is a touch soft at entry and then firms up towards the back while avoiding any tendency to stiffness or tough tannins, and it invites early drinking."
