Macari Vineyards Dos Aguas Red Long Island Wine 750 mL
Macari Vineyards Dos Aguas Red Long Island Wine 750 mL
"Dos Aguas is the winery’s red Bordeaux blend, mostly Merlot (81%), with roughly equal portions of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. It was aged for 26 months in French oak (only 24% new) and comes in at 14.2% alcohol. Elegant in the mid-palate but a bit tight on the finish, this is a pleasing Bordeaux blend that has freshness, some complexity and a serious feel to it. It retains its balance all the while." -The Winery

Macari Sauvignon Blanc 2016 Long Island White Wine
Macari Sauvignon Blanc 2016 Long Island White Wine
90 Points - Wine Advocate, June 2015
"...In its youth, it is tightly-wound, vibrant and penetrating, with very controlled but invigorating aromatics and beautiful acidity. It's another winner for this grape and this winery, which seems to have a good touch for it..." -Mark Squires

Capanna Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2010 Italian Tuscan Red Wine 750 mL
Capanna Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2010 Italian Tuscan Red Wine 750 mL

97 Points - James Suckling - "The purity of fruit in this is very impressive with cherry and raspberry character. Full body, chewy and rich yet ultra-fine tannin texture and a long, long finish of focused and subtle fruit. Loving this. Drink or hold."

95 Points - Vinous / Antonio Galloni February 2016 - "A big, tannic wine, Capanna's 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is going to need a few years in the cellar to soften. Macerated dark cherries, mint, lavender, spices and earthiness gradually open up, yet the Riserva remains dominated by its acidity and tannin. Of course, that is exactly the way a young Riserva from a superb vintage should come across at this stage."

Jorge Ordonez Malaga #3 Seleccion Old Vines 2006 375mL Spanish Dessert Wine
Jorge Ordonez Malaga #3 Seleccion Old Vines 2006 375mL Spanish Dessert Wine
Rated 93 points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate; Wine Advocate #183, June 2009:

"The 2006 Old Vines is late-harvested with the grapes dried in trays. It was fermented in new French oak with fermentation stopped by lowering the temperature when residual sugar was at 250 g/l. Dark amber-colored, it reveals intense candied tropical aromas, orange zest, tangerine, and a hint of ginger. Round, viscous, and long, it is a fine way to end a meal. Made from 100% Moscatel de Alejandra." -Jay S Miller

Rated 91 Points Vinous Media January 2016

"Pale yellow. Vibrant, sharply focused nose displays intense lime and white peach aromas plus suggestions of smoky lees and iodine. Sappy, penetrating and pure, offering bitter peach pit and citrus zest flavors that open up on the back half. This rich yet lively Godello finishes with excellent clarity and length and a lingering mineral note." -- Josh Raynolds

Bodegas Borsao Tres Picos Garnacha 2015 Spanish Red Wine 750mL
Bodegas Borsao Tres Picos Garnacha 2015 Spanish Red Wine 750mL

91 points Wine Advocate August 2016

"Even better, and clearly one of the greatest values in the wine world, is the 2015 Tres Picos. It is a large cuvée of 24,000 cases from 100% Grenache, fermented in both oak and steel and aged in French oak prior to being bottled. The vines come from a relatively high elevation of nearly 2,300 feet from a vineyard planted in 1956. This wine shows loads of classic Grenache characteristics, such as pepper, licorice, underbrush, Provençal herbs and a boatload of black cherries and raspberries. The wine is rich, medium to full-bodied, pure and luscious and hedonistic. Drink it over the next several years." -Robert Parker
