Caduceus Cellars Nagual de la Naga 2012 Arizona Red Wine 750mL

Extremely Limited!

(66% Sangiovese, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon)

"Hand picked, sorted, punched. Open top bin maceration combined with modified cold carbonic maceration. Cask & puncheon aged 18 months in new and neutral french oak." - From the bottle

"1990 Sassacaia, 1990 Masseto, I’d be thrilled to live in the immense shadow of the wine from this region of my 1st love, Tuscany. She has a spell cast over me. She taunts me like the Sirens. I believe it’s the dance between the Sangiovese and the Cab Sav. The beef and cherries. This template is by far the biggest guess. When this wine was conceived, no one in this area has attempted Sangiovese that I was aware of. Therefore no physical evidence to suggest that we would be able to pull off the NAGA. The Kundalini Serpent. The Mountain Goddess. Only the educated guess based on terrior and some faith in our intuition. We now know for certain that Sangiovese does well in both Southern and Northern Arizona as evidenced by the Nagual del MARZO and KITSUNÉ. The Naga will continue to be one our flagship blends. And as of 2010 this wine is now made from 100% Arizona fruit." -The Winery

Caduceus Cellars Sancha Tempranillo Arizona Red Wine 750 mL
Caduceus Cellars Sancha Tempranillo Arizona Red Wine 750 mL
From the Winery:

100% Arizona Tempranillo from Cochise County.  Enjoy the long, lingering finish of this Rioja style wine.

Submerged cap fermentation gives both an intensity and a suppleness to the tannins here. Soulful and authentic, like a dish that begins with caramelized onions - a rustic, savory warmth. Leather, spice, chocolate, violets and sun-ripened figs, followed up by a strawberry or tomato sauce like tanginess. Add a cup of Rooibos tea to the mix and enjoy the long, lingering finish of this Rioja style wine.

Celler Can Blau Mas de Can Blau Montsant 2011 Red Spanish Wine 750 mL
Celler Can Blau Mas de Can Blau Montsant 2011 Red Spanish Wine 750 mL
Rated 92 points from Vinous Media September 2014:

"(35% carinena, 35% syrah and 30% garnacha; aged in French oak for 18 months): Lurid purple. A seductively perfumed bouquet evokes smoky blackberry, boysenberry and vanilla, with a potent floral quality building with air. Sappy dark berry and candied cherry flavors show liqueur-like power, staining the palate while showing surprising vivacity. Notes of violet pastille and dark berries cling on the persistent finish, which features supple tannins and a hint of licorice." - Josh Raynolds

Rated 92 points from Wine Enthusiast June 1st, 2015:

"Black in color and overtly charred, toasted and blackened on the nose, this modern-styled Montsant blend is loaded with black fruits, licorice and hickory aromas. In the mouth, this is lush, ripe and strong as an ox. Oaky flavors of vanilla and coconut settle on chocolate and blackberry, while the finish echoes with licorice and vanilla flavors and thick, chewy tannins. Drink through 2021." -Michael Schachner

Rated 90 points from Wine Spectator October 15th, 2014:

"Rich yet racy, this expressive red delivers black raspberry, kirsch, chocolate and balsamic flavors in a plush texture, with ripe tannins and citrusy acidity. A bold, modern style. Drink now through 2019. 1,000 cases made." –TM

Chateau de Manissy Cotes du Rhone 2014 Red Rhone Wine

Previous Vintage [2013] : 86 Points - Wine Enthusiast, February 2015 "Located in Tavel, Manissy is an organic producer whose red Côtes du Rhône is a blend of 60% Grenache, 25% Carignan and 15% Counoise. Whiffs of thyme and bay leaf accent slightly confected cherry fruit in this reasonably crisp, easy-to-drink wine. There’s not much tannin, so you might even try it slightly chilled." — J.C.

CVNE Cune Rioja Crianza 2012 Red Spanish Wine
CVNE Cune Rioja Crianza 2012 Red Spanish Wine

88-90 Points Wine Advocate April 2015 "A wine that is extremely popular in Spain is the 2012 Cune Crianza, the usual Tempranillo-based blend with 15% Garnacha Tinta and Mazuelo matured in oak barrels for one year. The nose starts with notes of creamy oak that soon give way to aromas of ripe berries, blackcurrants and plums that are quite spicy and showy (revealing hints from both American and French oak) with a fresh, herbal, raspberry leaf touch. The palate is light to medium-bodied, polished and soft, with unnoticeable tannins and very well-integrated oak. It is easy to drink and to understand by the wide audience. A very good commercial Rioja, it is approachable now, but will also keep. This is bottled in different lots as the market requires, and was about to be bottled when I tasted it. A whopping 4.5 million bottles of this wine are produced." - Luis Gutierrez

Dessimis Vie Di Romans 2014 Pinot Grigio Italian White Wine 750mL
Dessimis Vie Di Romans 2014 Pinot Grigio Italian White Wine 750mL

Previous Vintage [2013] rated 91 points from the Wine Advocate!

eRobertParker.com, #Interim - May 2016

"Here is another blockbuster from Vie di Romans. The 2013 Friuli Isonzo Pinot Grigio Dessimis is a lush and thickly concentrated effort with pristine aromas of pear, Golden Delicious apple, preserved lemon and acacia-infused honey. The wine is interesting from a textural point of view in that it offers good heft and complexity, although it never feels heavy or flat. It maintains a sense of brightness and energy all the while. This Pinot Grigio is fermented in stainless steel and aged in oak.

Gianfranco Gallo's Vie di Romans is one of the most accomplished, quality-minded estates in Italy. I am always impressed by their offerings and this selection from the 2013 vintage is outstanding. Chardonnay is presented in an unoaked version and in an oak-aged version. Both of these wines stand out thanks to the impossible creaminess and finesse they achieve. Drink: 2016-2022"
