Benromach 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch
Benromach 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch

Speyside Single Malt Scotch "Benromach 10 is aged for 9 years in 80% in ex-Bourbon casks, and 20% in former Sherry wood. The whisky is then blended and matured for a final 12 months in ex-Oloroso Sherry casks. The result is a complex and well-integrated dram. Golden color, with rich sherry influence on the nose with fruit, nut, chocolate and delicate cinnamon spice. Delicious forest fruits (raspberries and brambles) on the palate with sherry, malt creaminess with a stronger peat influence. The finish is balanced, long and lingering." -The Distillery

"Caol IIa is a lively whisky, both peaty and full of flavour, without being as intense as its more famous counterparts. Its availability is limited, and with a name that is difficult to pronounce, Caol Ila has remained an almost secret Islay malt. The name, - pronounced 'culleela', is gaelic for 'Sound of Islay'. The distillery is appropriately hidden in a cove near Port Askaig, overlooking the Sound of Islay, across which the ferry chugs to the nearby island of Jura." - The Distillery

As well as the distillery, the site is home to laboratories, engineering support, centralized warehousing management and the Malt Distilleries Technical Centre which provides technical and business backup to the other Chivas Brother distilleries. From 1967 to 1981, Miltonduff aslo produced a Single Malt called Mosstowie, using a 'Lomond Still'. Miltonduff is a key component of Ballantines blend. "Soft esters with fruity aromas - red apples, followed by sweet fudge notes. Sweet, fruity cereal flavors with a spicy edge, and floral/freshly cut grass notes. Easy drinking - soft flavors and a rounding sweetness." -Gordon & MacPhail
