Bleasdale Cabernet Sauvignon Mulberry Tree 2006
90 Points - International Wine Cellar
"Deep ruby color. Spicy redcurrant and cherry aromas are complicated by cracked pepper and musky herbs. Supple cherry and red berry preserve flavors betray no rough edges or tannins. Finishes sweet, broad and long. I’d enjoy this now for its suave fruit." -Josh Raynolds

89 Points - Wine Advocate
"The 2006 Mulberry Tree Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from a vineyard most of which is 80-90 years of age. It was aged for 12 months in a mix of new and used French and American oak. It delivers an enticing perfume of cedar, mineral, scorched earth, black currant, and blackberry. This is followed by an elegant wine with good integration of oak, tannin, and acidity, a seamless palate feel, and excellent length." -Jay Miller

Bodega Colome Amalaya 2008
Rating and review for previous vintage:

91 Points - Wine Spectator, June 2009
"Dark, with a core of crushed currant and plum fruit laced with black tea, hoisin sauce and a snappy mineral streak. Ripe, but not overblown, with a racy finish that lets sweet earth and licorice snap notes add length. Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Tannat. Drink now through 2010. 15,000 cases made. Smart Buys." -James Molesworth

Bodegas Atalaya Atalaya 2007
91 Points - Wine Advocate, August 2008
"This is the first release of Atalaya. The 2007 Atalaya is a blend of Monastrell, Garnacha Tintorera, and other red grapes. The wine was aged for eight months in French and American oak. This purple-colored wine has an expressive bouquet of violets, spice box, leather, game, blueberry, and black cherry. On the palate it comes off as borderline kinky and definitely sexy with lots of easy-going flavor, superb depth, complexity, and a 45-second finish. Although it can be enjoyed now, it will evolve for another 2-3 years." -Jay Miller

Bodegas Avanthia Avanthia Mencia 2007
93 Points - Wine Advocate, June 2009
"The purple-colored 2007 Avanthia is 100% Mencia sourced from two old vineyards, 70 and 85 years of age. It was aged in new French oak for 14 months and bottled without filtration. It delivers an exotic nose of underbrush, smoke, and wild blueberry leading to an opulent, layered wine which manages to retain some elegance. Rich, savory, and long, it has the structure and balance to evolve for 6-8 years and should offer prime drinking from 2016 to 2027." -Jay Miller
