Domaine Roche de la Paradis Condrieu 2015 White French Rhone Wine 750 mL
Domaine Roche de la Paradis Condrieu 2015 White French Rhone Wine 750 mL

92 points Wine Advocate December 2016

"The medium gold-colored 2015 Condrieu is a rich, buttery, even honeyed white that offers classic notes of crushed rocks, browned butter, ripe peaches and orange marmalade. It's a rich, textured white, yet it's minerality keeps it fresh and vibrant on the palate. It has terrific length on the finish and is a serious Condrieu to enjoy over the coming 2-4 years." - Jeb Dunnuck

Brown Estate Chaos Theory Zinfandel Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 California Red Wine
Brown Estate Chaos Theory Zinfandel Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 California Red Wine

60% Zindandel + 35% Cabernet Sauvignon + 5% Petite Sirah "Sourced from 100% Brown Estate grown fruit in the Chiles Valley District, Napa Valley. Once in your glass, the 2013 Chaos Theory envelops the bowl in a wash of dramatic royal purple surrounded by a delicate garnet rim. Its intense billowing fragrance begins with blue fruits then shifts markedly to red fruit and flowers - blueberry, mulberry, blackberry, then bing cherry, violet, and rose. Ripe fruit commingles with tart pomegranate and winter spice, further revealing sassafras root, subtle spearmint, and cherry cola with gravel, loam, and a hint of minerality. Mouthfeel is dense, rich, and decadent with loads of luscious fruit, vanillin, and cascading spice. Drink now through 2023." -Winemaker

Bodegas Aalto Ribera del Duero 2014 Red Spanish Wine 750 mL
Bodegas Aalto Ribera del Duero 2014 Red Spanish Wine 750 mL

92 Wine Advocate February 2017

"The 2014 Aalto is produced with Tempranillo from different zones of Ribera del Duero aged in oak barrels, some 70% of them new, for 16 months... The nose has plenty of black fruit, with something earthy, including hints of graphite and lead pencil. It has a classical, somehow Bordelaise, profile with sweet spices and cedar wood; it's ripe without excess. The palate is full-bodied and powerful, with good balance, in an XL style, as the wine hits the scales at 15% alcohol. The tannins are very polished, with some grainy texture and good freshness. This is ready now and should also be able to age nicely in bottle... "-Luis Guttierez

Bodejas Campillo Gran Reserva Rioja 2004 Red Spanish Wine
Bodejas Campillo Gran Reserva Rioja 2004 Red Spanish Wine
92 points Vinous media September 2014

"(90% tempranillo and 10% graciano; aged in new French oak for 30 months): Dark ruby. Heady aromas of cassis, blueberry, potpourri and smoky oak, with a lively mineral quality adding vivacity. Dark berry liqueur and rose pastille flavors show alluring sweetness but maintain freshness thanks to zesty minerality and tangy acidity. Reminds me more of an '05 than an '04 because of its energy. This lush but lively Rioja finishes with sweet cherry and blueberry notes, silky tannins and excellent length." - Josh Raynolds

91 points Wine Advocate April 2015

"Traditional houses release their Grandes Reservas after a good decade, as is the case with the 2004 Gran Reserva from Campillo, a textbook example combining the best of the traditional and more modern styles, with plenty of harmonious American oak notes intermixed with leather, cured meat, paprika and balsamic aromas and flavors. The palate is polished with fully resolved tannins, tasty flavors and good balance. It has 10% Graciano combined with the Tempranillo and aged for two years in oak. It has been resting in bottle until now. A sure bet if you want traditional Rioja. 38,600 bottles." -Luis Gutierrez
