Johannishof Riesling Qualitatswein Charta 2015 German White Wine
Johannishof Riesling Qualitatswein Charta 2015 German White Wine

The estate’s philosophy: small production and high quality The Johannishof estate is owned by the Eser family. Their focus is small production, high quality, estate-bottled Rieslings, in all styles. Top vineyard sites in Johannisberg and Rudesheim They own parcels of some of the best vineyards in the towns of Johannisberg (Holle, Klaus, Vogelsang, Goldatzel) and Rudesheim (Berg Rottland), to name a few. Johannishof is a member of the Charta group, which is comprised of about 30 top Rheingau wineries that banded together to promote high quality dry Rieslings. Johannishof is also one of the early proponents of the Erstes Gewachs system.

"This wine is a consistent winner made in the bone dry style of the Charta consortium with lots of snappy citrus and gooseberry notes plus a hint of bees wax and minerality when allowed to age a little. This is a great value" -Rich Mora

Langwerth Von Simmern Hattenheimer Nussbrunnen Riesling Kabinett 750mL
Langwerth Von Simmern Hattenheimer Nussbrunnen Riesling Kabinett 750mL

From the Importer: The Barons Langwerth von Simmern history in the Rheingau dates back to 1464. In 1472, the family acquired the historic Hattenheim castle in the Rheingau and in 1711 they moved to Eltville, the cultural center of the Rheingau. The estate is now run by the Baron George and his wife Baroness Andrea Langwerth von Simmern. They utilize century-long traditions in the production of top-quality wines from their world-famous vineyards - 95% of their vinyards are "Grands Cru" vineyard sites. While preserving tradition, the estate has adopted new innovations in quality-oriented vineyard and cellar practices. The Baron's passion ensures that the estate will remain one of the Rheingau's oldest, largest and top-rated wine estates for centuries to come.

Schloss Reinharthausen Riesling Old Vine Estate 2012
Schloss Reinharthausen Riesling Old Vine Estate 2012
Rienhartshausen is the largest privately owned Estate in the Rheingau. For the most part their house “style” is on the more dry, crisp side compared to other German properties. The Old Vine Riesling is from a 40 year-old single vineyard. An off dry style with lots of complexity, this wine has great balance between acidity and sweet.

review for previous vintage 94 Points - Wine Spectator, November 2011 "Exotic-tasting, with loads of dried mango, guava and pineapple flavors that are very creamy and rich. There's a lush mouthfeel, with a long, vibrant finish of spice and white chocolate. Drink now through 2035. 100 cases made." -Kim Marcus
