Chateau Clos de l'Oratoire St. Emilion 2000 Red Bordeaux Wine

Extremely limited, No discounts! 92 Points - Wine Advocate, June 2010 "Ripe, well-made, and slightly over-rated in my report written seven years ago, this 2000 exhibits lots of black currants, cherries, smoked herbs, and spice in a full-bodied, round, generous, fully mature style. Delicious at present, it should drink well for another 5-7 years." -Robert Parker

"Has an impressively dark color, with lots of crushed berry, mineral and licorice aromas that follow through to a full body, with velvety tannins and a long finish. Racy and tight, with beautiful tannins. Best after 2012. 9,165 cases made." –JS

Rated 89 points from The Wine Advocate; eRobertParker.com Issue #Interim - May, 2016:

"Tasted at the vertical retrospective at the property. The 2005 Château Dauzac, a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, appears to have reached full maturity on the nose, although there is abundant blackberry and mulberry fruit to suggest that it will keep for many years. The palate is medium-bodied, a little rustic on the entry with touches of bay leaf and tea leaf, though there I perceived some dryness creeping in towards the finish. Drink this now and over the next 5-8 years, because though it constitutes a commendable 2005, it is not quite living up to the promise it showed in its youth and in my opinion, is surpassed by subsequent vintages. Tasted June 2015. Drink: 2016-2025." - Neal Martin

93 Points - Wine Advocate, April 2003
"Jean-Luc Thunevin tends to be humble when he talks about his 2000, as if there were something wrong with it. Well, it is a spectacular wine, and having tasted it three times from bottle, I am in love with it. Dense purple-colored, with a glorious nose of espresso, cocoa, chocolate, plum, black currant, and cherry, offering a true smorgasbord of heavenly delights, this medium to full-bodied wine still shows some relatively firm tannin, but the low acidity, layered, multi-textured mouthfeel, and tremendous purity are hallmarks of the Thunevin winemaking style. However, this might be one Valandraud that actually needs 3-5 years of cellaring prior to drinking. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2019." -Robert Parker

"A well-known and consistent wine from the estate of Christian Dauriac, this big, plump, opulent 2005 is one of the best wines I have ever tasted from this estate. It is full-bodied and multi-dimensional, with a big, juicy texture and loads of plum, blackcurrant, spicy oak and minerality. Full and rich, with the tannins just beginning to show some resolution and better integration, this is a big-time sleeper of the vintage that should drink well for another 15-20 years. Drink:2015-2035"

Rated 93 points from The Wine Advocate; eRobertParker.com, #219 June, 2015:

"This property, which has benefitted enormously from tremendous investments from the Rothschild family that owns Lafite, has turned out a dense purple-colored wine in 2005. Offering broad, expansive, supple and silky tannin as well as loads of Asian plum sauce, blackcurrants, and sweet cherries, this wine is seductive, medium to full-bodied, and luscious. This successful effort from the Rothschilds should continue to drink well for at least another two decades. Drink: 2015-2035."

No Discounts! 92+ Points - Wine Advocate, April 2006 "Consumers should take note as this estate is clearly benefiting from increased attention from the Rothschilds. The 2003 may be the finest Duhart-Milon made ... ever! A blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Merlot, it boasts a deep ruby/purple hue in addition to a big, sweet perfume of black fruits interwoven with roasted herbs and meat juice offered in a muscular, full-bodied style. Full-bodied, dense, and well-structured, this stunning cuvee is best consumed between 2010-2030." -Robert Parker 92 Points - Wine Spectator, March 2006 "Blackberry with toasted oak and coffee aromas. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a long finish. Lovely texture to this wine. Dense and refined. Very tight right now. One of the best I have tasted from this estate. Best after 2009. 20,000 cases made." -James Suckling

95 Wine Advocatee RobertParker.com #219 June 2015 Drink: 2015 - 2030

" Purple to the rim, the 2005 Faugères is a powerhouse at 14.5% alcohol, with notes of graphite, blueberry and blackberry liqueur, licorice and truffle. Some incense also makes an appearance in this full-bodied, super-concentrated, modern-styled St.-Emilion. If I hadn’t known, I would have guessed was the luxury cuvée Péby and not the basic Faugères! Drink it over the next 15 years." - Robert M. Parker Jr.

Rated 94 points from The Wine Advocate; eRobertParker.com issue #219 June, 2015:

"This beautiful wine from Fleur Cardinale performed great in its youth, both from barrel as well as post-bottling. A gorgeous blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon made by the Decoster family, the 2005 provides more evidence that this property is fully exploiting its tremendous potential. A few years away from reaching its plateau of maturity, its stunning nose of black cherry liqueur, cassis, licorice, earth and spice is followed by a full-bodied, concentrated and pure wine. Drink it over the next 15 or more years. Drink: 2015-2030."

Extremely limited, No discounts! 94 Points - Wine Advocate, June 2010 "I bought this wine for myself because I thought it was a sleeper of the vintage, and I couldn't be happier. My score in two tastings was identical to what it was seven years ago. Chocolatey espresso notes jump from the glass of this dark ruby/purple-colored wine. Full-bodied, with a silky texture, loads of concentration and density, this is a beautiful wine that is both hedonistically and intellectually pleasing. The wine seems to have reached full maturity, where it should stay for another 10-15 years." -Robert Parker

Chateau Kirwan Margaux 2005 French Red Bordeaux Wine 750mL
Rated 90+ points from The Wine Advocate; eRobertParker.com, #219 June, 2015:

"A third-growth, this intense, powerful and concentrated wine should play to its strengths in a vintage such as 2005, with its enormous tannin and density. This is one of the more backward of the 2005s, quite masculine, tannic and bold, with a deep ruby/purple color, lots of spice, a touch of wood and new oak as well as a medium to full-bodied, rather backward, tannic mouthfeel. It’s all there, and the wine certainly has plenty of concentration, but it needs another 3-5 years of cellaring. It should drink well for at least a quarter of a century. Drink: 2018-2045."
