Chateau Branaire Ducru St. Julien 2003 Red Bordeaux Wine
Chateau Branaire Ducru St. Julien 2003 Red Bordeaux Wine

Extremely limited, No discounts! 95 Points - Wine Advocate, April 2006 "Proprietor Patrick Maroteaux, president of Unions des Grands Crus Classes, is pulling out all the stops to make Branaire as alluring as several of the Leovilles and Ducru Beaucaillou. 2003 and 2004 may be the finest back-to-back vintages ever produced at Branaire. Even better than the 1982, the profound 2003 Branaire Ducru boasts a saturated plum/purple color as well as an extraordinarily complex nose of black currants, blackberries, espresso roast, white chocolate, minerals, and truffles. It displays amazing freshness and definition for such a complex, complete, and full-bodied wine. A brilliant effort in the vintage, it will undoubtedly close down in several years and need more time, but perhaps its low acidity and huge, extravagant fruit-forwardness will keep it drinking well over the next two decades. A brilliant wine!" -Robert Parker

Chateau Clerc Milon Pauillac 2000 Red Bordeaux Wine
Chateau Clerc Milon Pauillac 2000 Red Bordeaux Wine

Extremely limited, No discounts! 92 Wine Advocate, June 2010 A beautiful wine and one of my favorites from this estate, this blend of nearly two-thirds Cabernet Sauvignon and one-third Merlot is aging impressively. Dense ruby/purple in color, with creme de cassis, charcoal, and sweet leathery and chocolatey notes intermixed with the classic Pauillac cedar and spice box, the wine is medium to full-bodied, fleshy, with sweet tannin and a long finish. It seems to have inched into its window of full drinking maturity, and will stay there for 10-15+ years." -Robert Parker

"Dark in color, almost black. Aromas of raisin, spices and blackberry follow through to a full body, with chewy tannins and a long, powerful finish. Has loads of fruit and toasty oak. This is exciting. A new 1947? Best after 2016. 2,415 cases made." –JS

"This is a fruit-driven, medium to full-bodied St.-Emilion, with a dark ruby/purple color, ripe plum and black cherry fruit, good spice and earthiness. This 2005 represents the beginning of the resurrection of this famous estate, which was once owned by the huge Cordier firm, but now produces wine under the auspices of the brilliant consultant Hubert de Boüard. Anticipated maturity: now-2028. Drink: 2015-2028."

Extremely limited, No discounts! 92 Points - Wine Advocate, June 2010 "Ripe, well-made, and slightly over-rated in my report written seven years ago, this 2000 exhibits lots of black currants, cherries, smoked herbs, and spice in a full-bodied, round, generous, fully mature style. Delicious at present, it should drink well for another 5-7 years." -Robert Parker

"Has an impressively dark color, with lots of crushed berry, mineral and licorice aromas that follow through to a full body, with velvety tannins and a long finish. Racy and tight, with beautiful tannins. Best after 2012. 9,165 cases made." –JS

Rated 89 points from The Wine Advocate; eRobertParker.com Issue #Interim - May, 2016:

"Tasted at the vertical retrospective at the property. The 2005 Château Dauzac, a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, appears to have reached full maturity on the nose, although there is abundant blackberry and mulberry fruit to suggest that it will keep for many years. The palate is medium-bodied, a little rustic on the entry with touches of bay leaf and tea leaf, though there I perceived some dryness creeping in towards the finish. Drink this now and over the next 5-8 years, because though it constitutes a commendable 2005, it is not quite living up to the promise it showed in its youth and in my opinion, is surpassed by subsequent vintages. Tasted June 2015. Drink: 2016-2025." - Neal Martin

"A well-known and consistent wine from the estate of Christian Dauriac, this big, plump, opulent 2005 is one of the best wines I have ever tasted from this estate. It is full-bodied and multi-dimensional, with a big, juicy texture and loads of plum, blackcurrant, spicy oak and minerality. Full and rich, with the tannins just beginning to show some resolution and better integration, this is a big-time sleeper of the vintage that should drink well for another 15-20 years. Drink:2015-2035"

Rated 93 points from The Wine Advocate; eRobertParker.com, #219 June, 2015:

"This property, which has benefitted enormously from tremendous investments from the Rothschild family that owns Lafite, has turned out a dense purple-colored wine in 2005. Offering broad, expansive, supple and silky tannin as well as loads of Asian plum sauce, blackcurrants, and sweet cherries, this wine is seductive, medium to full-bodied, and luscious. This successful effort from the Rothschilds should continue to drink well for at least another two decades. Drink: 2015-2035."

The 2003 may be the finest Duhart-Milon made ... ever! A blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Merlot, it boasts a deep ruby/purple hue in addition to a big, sweet perfume of black fruits interwoven with roasted herbs and meat juice offered in a muscular, full-bodied style. Full-bodied, dense, and well-structured, this stunning cuvee is best consumed between 2010-2030." -Robert Parker 92 Points - Wine Spectator, March 2006 "Blackberry with toasted oak and coffee aromas. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a long finish. Lovely texture to this wine. Dense and refined. Very tight right now. One of the best I have tasted from this estate. Chateau Faugeres Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2005 750 mL French Red Bordeaux Wine

95 Wine Advocatee RobertParker.com #219 June 2015 Drink: 2015 - 2030

" Purple to the rim, the 2005 Faugères is a powerhouse at 14.5% alcohol, with notes of graphite, blueberry and blackberry liqueur, licorice and truffle. Some incense also makes an appearance in this full-bodied, super-concentrated, modern-styled St.-Emilion. If I hadn’t known, I would have guessed was the luxury cuvée Péby and not the basic Faugères! Drink it over the next 15 years." - Robert M. Parker Jr.
