Chateau Bellevue Saint Emilion 2003 Red Bordeaux Wine 750 mL
Chateau Bellevue Saint Emilion 2003 Red Bordeaux Wine 750 mL

Rated 93 Points Wine Advocate #164 April 2006

"This 15+ acre estate, situated on a south/southwest-facing slope, has been making sensational wines since 2000, when the management of the vineyard and winemaking were taken over by Nicolas Thienpont and Stephane Derenoncourt. The 40-year-old, bio-dynamically farmed vineyard is planted with 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The 2003 possesses superb ripeness as well as a stony, mineral liqueur-like intensity, a reticent but promising perfume of black raspberries, sweet kirsch, and blacker fruits, a full-bodied, powerful, concentrated attack and mid-palate, and a blockbuster, long, powerful, moderately tannic finish. It is an infant in terms of development. No doubt this site’s clay and limestone soils were the perfect antidote for the summer’s torrid heat and drought. This superb effort should only be purchased by patient connoisseurs. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2025+"

Chateau Duhart-Milon Rothschild Pauillac 2003 Red Bordeaux Wine 750 mL

No Discounts! 92+ Points - Wine Advocate, April 2006 "Consumers should take note as this estate is clearly benefiting from increased attention from the Rothschilds. The 2003 may be the finest Duhart-Milon made ... ever! A blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Merlot, it boasts a deep ruby/purple hue in addition to a big, sweet perfume of black fruits interwoven with roasted herbs and meat juice offered in a muscular, full-bodied style. Full-bodied, dense, and well-structured, this stunning cuvee is best consumed between 2010-2030." -Robert Parker 92 Points - Wine Spectator, March 2006 "Blackberry with toasted oak and coffee aromas. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a long finish. Lovely texture to this wine. Dense and refined. Very tight right now. One of the best I have tasted from this estate. Best after 2009. 20,000 cases made." -James Suckling

Chateau Leoville Las Cases St. Julien 1995 Red Bordeaux Wine 750 mL
Chateau Leoville Las Cases St. Julien 1995 Red Bordeaux Wine 750 mL

Extremely limited, No Discounts! 95 Points - Wine Advocate, February 1998 "If it were not for the prodigious 1996, everyone would be concentrating on getting their hands on a few bottles of the fabulous 1995 Leoville-Las-Cases, which is one of the vintage's great success stories. The wine boasts an opaque ruby/purple color, and exceptionally pure, beautifully knit aromas of black fruits, minerals, vanillin, and spice. On the attack, it is staggeringly rich, yet displays more noticeable tannin than its younger sibling. Exceptionally ripe cassis fruit, the judicious use of toasty new oak, and a thrilling mineral character intertwined with the high quality of fruit routinely obtained by Las Cases, make this a compelling effort. There is probably nearly as much tannin as in the 1996, but it is not as perfectly sweet as in the 1996. The finish is incredibly long in this classic. Only 35% of the harvest was of sufficient quality for the 1995 Leoville-Las-Cases. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2025." -Robert Parker

Chateau Malescot St. Exupery Margaux 2003 Red Bordeaux Wine

Extremely limited, No discounts! 91 Points - Wine Advocate, August 2014 "Showing no signs of age, this fully mature, dark plum/ruby-colored 2003 offers notes of forest floor, spring flowers, spice box and tobacco leaf. It possesses all the finesse one would expect, which is surprising in such a hot year. This medium-bodied Margaux should continue to drink well for a decade or more." -Robert Parker

Chateau Pavie Macquin St. Emilion 2003 French Red Bordeaux Wine 750 mL
Chateau Pavie Macquin St. Emilion 2003 French Red Bordeaux Wine 750 mL

Extremely limited, No discounts! 95 Points - Wine Advocate, April 2006 "This tremendous terroir has been brought back to life over the last 15 years by Nicolas Thienpont and Stephane Derenoncourt. Its 37-acre vineyard, planted in deep clay and limestone soils, is composed of 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Pavie-Macquin is not far from Gerard Perse's little treasure, Pavie-Decesse. The 2003 Pavie-Macquin turned out brilliantly, no doubt because its soils supported the summer's torrid heat and drought. Tipping the scales at 13.8% alcohol, it boasts an opaque purple color along with a gorgeous nose of blackberries, smoked meats, licorice, incense, and barbecue spices. Huge fruit on the attack is followed by a powerful, masculine wine with huge extract, high tannin, low acidity, and formidable power. Despite its low acidity, this is a wine to forget for 3-4 years, and drink over the following 20-25 years. When fully mature, this brilliant effort should rival the 2000 and 1998." -Robert Parker 96 Points - Wine Spectator, March 2006 "Incredible nose of raspberry jam with vanilla and floral undertones. Full-bodied, with velvety, caressing tannins and loads of fruit on the finish. Best after 2010. 3,330 cases made." -James Suckling

Dow Vintage Port 1994 Portuguese Dessert Wine 750 mL

Extremely Limited! No Discounts! 97 points Wine Advocate September 2010 "Deep garnet colour. The nose is just beginning to evolve into musky, dried plum and raisin aromas with whiffs of tree bark, nutmeg, cumin and cloves. The palate is seriously big and voluptuous with medium to high acidity and a medium to firm level of fine tannins. Very long finish." -Lisa Perrotti-Brown

97 points Winespectator December 31, 1999 "A blackstrap, powerful Port. Black, with intense aromas of raspberries, raisins, flowers and stems. Full-bodied and medium sweet, with a long, rich finish. Tannins pull at your palate. A wine for the future.--Dow vertical. Best after 2008. 13,000 cases made." –James Suckling
