Arndorfer Gruner Veltliner Strasser Weinberge Reserve Austrian White Wine 750 mL
Arndorfer Gruner Veltliner Strasser Weinberge Reserve Austrian White Wine 750 mL

Strasser Weinberge means the ‘vineyards’ in ‘Strass’, the fruit for this wine is selected from three of Martins vineyards in the village. The wine is a showcase for the typical characteristics of the variety and vineyard soils around the village… in Martin’s words, it is a wine that ‘makes you happy’! Gruner is typically a variety that does not see any wood in it’s aging and/or fermentation, and here Martin add’s just a ‘whisper’ with the percentage he ages in old used barrels to soften a touch Gruners incredibly natural acidity. Martin also uses Steel barrels to age parts of this wine which change the relationship of the lees to wine ratio. Once again Martin manifesting his great passion, curiosity and creativity and always finding new and innovative ways to vinify this historical and regionally important variety.

Prieler Pinot Blanc Seeberg 2010
Prieler Pinot Blanc Seeberg 2010
"One sniff of this and it was clear something was up; a serious fragrance like ambitious Maconnaise (or delicious mayonnaise,
I get them confused); the palate shows grip and creaminess but without malo, and striking langoustine and tortillas; a lot
of up-front vinosity and rocky impact, then mid-palate cream and a stony scallion-y finish. Playful, solid and bright; the
best in many years." -The Importer

"Although my family is documented as early as 1347 in Schützen, it was my grandfather that first bottled wine. He also immediately won accolades for it. My parents turned their full attention to wine. From that point onwards, the focus was quality before quantity. Following this same ideal, my sister took the important steps toward organic cultivation and allowed wild yeasts to run their course. As doctor of molecular biology, she certainly knew what she was doing – as she also did when she left for Vienna in 2012 and handed responsibilities over to me. Like my father in 2002 and my sister in 2009, I also have the honour of being awarded “Vintner of the Year” here in Austria."
